"Jorj Sabio shares sonic alchemy with debut album ODJI SPRINGS" -

Born and raised in Brighton’s greenbelt, Jorj Sabio fashioned a path into music after moving to London and connecting with a community of like-minded creatives with whom he began collaborating with and developing his sound. The singer, songwriter and producer also took London’s vibrant live scene by storm both as a solo artist and as part of South-London collective, Gravy River, headlining iconic venues such as Peckham Audio, Brixton's Hootananny and The Troubadour, Earls Court.

Drawing inspiration from various styles of music, Jorj Sabio crafted his own unique brand of Alternative R&B which is pushed to its limits in his debut album, ODJI SPRINGS, which was released in August 2024 accompanied by a exclusive full-band live performance of the album at Peckham Audio.

"The album is a rich tapestry of sound, rooted in Alternative R&B yet seamlessly weaving in elements of Pop, Hip Hop, Jazz, Soul, Flamenco, Latin American popular music, and British Folk."

Jorj also writes and produces with other artists, most recently attending Chris Difford's March 2025 Songwriting retreat at Pennard House. He has worked with artists such as Mo Phoenix, Marnie Taylor and Poppy Prescott.

In 2025, Jorj expanded his music output into media composition, having been commissioned by Patrin Films to create score alongside renowned composer, Anna Phoebe (Buccaneers Apple TV composer), for a documentary short called, 'The Angry Bird', which follows champion stock-car racer, Georgie Polly, a Romany Gypsy woman from England. Composing the score under his birth name, Oli George Wells, the score melded elements of industrial sounds, traditional Romany folk music and cinematic strings. The project was supported by Netflix Documentary Talent Fund, and premiered at Raindance Film Festival.
At the end of 2025, Jorj will be releasing a remix EP of highlights from the debut album, featuring dance music reworkings both produced indecently and in collaboration with other upcoming producers. The first remix was a collaboration with South London producer, Waz-u, released at the end of July.
